Hi,
Just looking for opinions, I know people like to interact with websites, is a guest book a good idea or a waste of time. Another thought regarding the guest book, if they put a link there, is that considered an outbound link from your site and will that hurt ??
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Thanks,
Linda

G'day Linder.
Have a look at this post from a week or so back. It answeres at least some of your questions. http://forums.site-reference.com/viewtopic.php?id=2664
Should be enough information to help you decide.

Laurie,
Thank you, that was an eye opener. Looks like alot of work and WAY over my head to make it worth it. I always appreciate the common sense that prevails here, and steers me the right way.
Have a great day,

G'day Linda,
I believe Guest Books a very 'passe'. It used to be that people were actually interested what every Tom, Dick and Harry though of their website. Now it's simply a means for idiots to spam the world with their 'useless' and very annoying adverts for Viagra, Real Estate and pre-approved Home Loans etc.
I had one about four years ago and it lasted about 3 months. It got to the point where I didn't care any more what anyone thought. Even the good comments (and virtually all were good - not that it means squat) were usually like this:
"Great website, interesting content. - See my site at www...... Viagra....... etc etc"
