Hey there,  I hope this is ok to post, but I need some help and I can't do the kind of nice layered graphics (yet) that I want for the headers of my new site.   I'm building a new website called the Midwestern Connection (link below) that is going to bring together anything and everything related to the states I'm going to cover.  This is everything from shopping to nightlife, restaurants, bars, accomidations, calendar's etc.   What I am looking for are 7 header graphics for the main areas of the website. 

- Main Website Header, it needs to be midwest based or something related to it.  The Midwestern Connection needs to be the text on it (same text style and such carried through).  The color's can be what you wish as long as it blends well with the subject mannger.

- State Headers (Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin). Each header should be somwhat related to it's state.  The text font should be the same as the main graphic, but colors can deviate as long as they stay in the same base family.  Then somewhere on the graphic it would make clear that the section covers that state.

I'm sure you get the jist....I'm happy to pay for this but am not looking for someone to charge me a ton as I know this is really easy for some people to whip up fast...I pull my hair out but can do it

Do you have a graphics editor?

I would recommend taking a look at custom banner designers.  They tend to be relatively expensive and could do the job for you quite nicely.  Just lookup 'banner designers' on google and see what you get as a result.

Yes...I use paintshop and photo shop. It's not so much that I can't do this, it's that I'm going to be building quite a lot of databases and would rather tinker with that then header graphics I know someone else can do rather quickly    So instead of looking at picture banners I keep putting up for place holders, I'd like the ones I will originally want created.  That way I can also build in the css sheets for each state.   The goal is to make a consistent navigation throughout the site, but give each state its own look and feel.

Ah done deal and I'm very happy with the work   I altered the color scheme of the site to work more with the graphic.  If you're curious go take a look, I'm starting with the Iowa>Cedar Rapids area first...obviously

It'll take a few weeks to get all of the framework built, but I'm adding in data as I get bored.
