Site-Reference Forums Rules and Code of Conduct
The Forums are intended to be a fun and friendly place where we can all learn, discuss and share ideas. To keep it so we ask that you comply with the following rules. Any violation of these will results in immediate banning:
Personal Conduct
- Absolutely no flaming. Flaming is any attack on another member, whether you think it is deserved or not. Those who flame other members will be given one warning before they are banned.
- Criticisms. Your opinion is your opinion and we respect that. However please remember we want to help each other so please try to be constructive at all times.
- No Plagiarism. If you feel the need to use text from another source in a post, you MUST quote the source, and where appropriate link to it. Anything that is not in your own words or used without the original author’s permission will result in an immediate banning.
- No Duplicate Postings. If you are active in other forums, please do not post duplicate questions throughout several. If you have posted your question in another forum we will assume you do not need our help and will remove your post. Repeat offenders will be banned.
- No Split Egos. Each person only needs 1 account. Please do not register multiple accounts or they will all be banned.
- No Policing. Members should not enforce the rules on their own. If you see a violation of the rules, use the 'report' link which can be found at the bottom of every post.
Links
- Members are allowed and encouraged to link over to their websites in their profile and in their signature only (which can be found in your profile).
- We ask that members do not post links to their own website within the body of their posts. Links to your website are only allowed within your profile and your signature.
- Links to other websites are allowed only if they are appropriate to the conversation at hand.
Adult Content
- Links to adult content, images of adult content, and conversations of an adult nature are not allowed. This includes discussions that are intended to be humorous and requests for a site review.
- If you are unsure whether your site is adult in nature, please contact a moderator.
SPAM / Advertising
- This is subject to zero (o) warnings. If you try to spam through these forums you will be instantly banned.
- The forums are not a place to advertise your website or services, nor is it a place to recruit members, solicit sales, or clicks on ads. Members who use the forums for this purpose will be banned.
Website Review Requests
- You are encouraged to offer your review of other sites to help increase your post count.
- Understand that website reviews can often involve criticism of your website. You should expect this before you submit a site for review.
- If you submit your website for review, it is considered good ettiquette to respond to the reviews others are making.
Age Requirement
- Members must be at least 16 years of age.
